Dairy Response Fund Open for Applications

22 Jun 20

Eligible farmers can claim up to £10,000 for losses due to the coronavirus outbreak.

To be eligible for support from the fund, farmers in England need to demonstrate that they have suffered a reduction in the average price paid for their milk of 25% or more in April 2020 when compared with February 2020.

If the above applies to you, you will be entitled to up to £10,000 each to cover 70% of their losses across April and May due to a drop in the price, following the impact from closures of restaurants, bars, and cafes in recent months.

The purpose of this financial support is to help maintain production capacity and sustain their business, without impacting the animals’ welfare.

The fund can be applied for from the 18 June 2020, until 14 August 2020, Rural Payments Agency will begin paying out, from the 6 July 2020.
