Tamlyns Chartered Surveyors, Valuers and Auctioneers are delighted to announce that we have welcomed two new members to our professional services team.

Paul Reed, MRICS Registered Valuer joins us as Senior Chartered Surveyor, having previously worked as an Investment Acquisitions Surveyor at South Gloucestershire Council and in the private sector as a General Practice and Investment surveyor at DTZ (Cushman & Wakefield), Jones Lang La Salle and Colliers International.

Paul brings a wealth of commercial expertise to the company and has worked both nationally and internationally across various sectors including Residential, Industrial, Offices, Retail Development and Hotels with considerable experience in Investment Agency and Asset Management together with acquisition and disposal of assets of lot sizes ranging in value from £2m to £10m. This expertise means that Paul has extensive contacts in London and across the South West enabling access to a wide variety of Real Estate stock.

We look forward to working with Paul to grow and strengthen the commercial aspects of our business, leveraging off of our existing strong rural client base. Married, with 4 children, Paul and his family live in the City of Wells in Somerset. He is an active sportsman and can be regularly found on the rugby fields of Tor and Butleigh Rugby Club or playing golf.

Stewart joined our Architectural Services Team in July of this year working alongside Graham Braid, Senior Architectural Technician preparing both Planning and Building Regulation submissions, monitoring thereof and providing technical support from beginning to end of a variety of building projects.  Stewart gained his BSc (Hons) degree whilst working for NHBC as a Building Surveyor and Claims Assessor and brings with him over 30 years of experience in his field, having worked for major housing developers and private architectural practices. His experience has varied from complex developments of 300+ homes to single dwellings, working on the initial sketch schemes right through to the etailed construction drawings.

Since July, Stewart has hit the ground running and has been successfully building on the relationships with our long-standing clients as well as bringing new clients on board.

You may recognise Stewart from his claim to fame when he once appeared on Channel 4’s Grand Designs programme, where he produced technical details and cost-effective solutions for a project, already running over budget. Outside of work, Stewart is a member of his local 40+ keep fit club. When not out on his motorcycle or doing DIY, he can also be found attending music concerts and festivals.
