Tamlyns Auction Room remains closed for Valuations and Auctions

We hope to be up and running again soon and will contact vendors with items entered before lockdown in due course. Our valuation mornings will recommence following the first auction back.

Valuations and advice

Tamlyns is a long established Auction House located in the South West of England. Our Antiques and Collectibles Auction Rooms hold monthly auctions which always generate high levels of interest.

Open to the public every Monday for miliatria/collectibles/furniture/fine art/general items & Thursday for jewellery/silver/watches/books/vinyl (from 9:30am until 1pm) for our free, drop in valuations; our team of experts welcome your visit and are on hand to offer advice and guidance not only on valuing your items, but also best method of sale.

(Please note that no drop in valuations are held on auction week. Refer to our Calendar Events page for dates)

If you cannot make one of our valuation mornings, our team welcome the opportunity to give advice and valuations from images of your items sent by email.

Whilst we have a wide range of expertise in-house, we also have the ability to call on specific experts if needed. Our monthly sales typically incorporate a wide range of items, from furniture and ceramics, to pictures, art and items of interest as well as jewellery, silver, clocks and watches.

Tamlyns Auction Rooms also offer more formalised valuation services for Probate, Insurance or Family Division purposes. Just give one of our team a call to discuss. We can also arrange and advise on house clearance services.

Our friendly and professional team at Tamlyns Auction Rooms appreciate that often circumstances surrounding putting items to auction can be challenging, which is why we try to make things as easy and straightforward as we possibly can for vendors and buyers alike.
